Afternoon of Mindfulness, Yin & Nidra
Date & Time: Sunday 12 May 2019 2:00-5:00 pm with Tina Kouroushi & Arjie Ramsay
Treat yourself (and maybe a friend or two) to a mindful afternoon of yoga in the tranquil surroundings of the Niland Centre in Bushey. This is an opportunity to go deeper and experience the benefits of Mindfulness, Yin Yoga and deep relaxation through Yoga Nidra, which is not always possible in a typical class situation.
Tina will escort you through the practicalities of mindful movement, encouraging you to use these skills in everyday activities, such as walking and tasting, as well as during your yoga Asana practice. Arjie will guide you in taking your awareness deep into your muscles, joints and body through mindful Yin, focusing on the Gallbladder and Liver Meridians, which support the body’s natural digestive and detoxification functions. We’ll finish with Yoga Nidra to help you deeply relax and replenish.
Refreshments after the practice will be provided. Please bring a couple of blankets and any other props you like to use to make your practice as self-nurturing as possible. Bring some water to sip during the afternoon. A selection of other props (mat, bolster, eye-pillow, block, etc.) will be available.
Note: This afternoon of yoga will be particularly suitable for you if you have some prior experience of yoga.
